Holy Land Tour Promotes Peace & Healing
 A tour of Israel that focuses on peace, healing and spirituality is being offered by Sacred Peace Tours of Galilee, Holy land.
Participants will meet the peace leader of an ancient community where Jews, Christians, Muslims and Druze have lived together peacefully for millennia, and visit a theatre that shows Arabs and Jews creative ways to resolve conflicts.
The 13-day "Sacred Journey to the Holy Land," October 21 to November 2, 2007 and March 30 to April 11, 2008, was created to help people overcome fear and misconceptions about the Middle East and inspire them with hope for a brighter future.
Learning from Masters of Living Peace
Tour leader Eliana Gilad is a spiritual peace activist who enjoys taking visitors to non-tourist places where they can meet like-minded people from all segments of life. At some sacred sites she will lead the group in meditations and other spiritual ceremonies using ancient healing and transformational music for which she is a world renowned expert. The music has been medically proven to lower blood pressure and increase focus. Gilad has been invited three times to the United Nations and has presented with Arun Gandhi, grandson of Mohatma Gandhi and Yolanda King, daughter of Martin Luther King.
"This trip will give participants a transformation experience," said Eliana Gilad, founder of Sacred Peace Tours and co-director with partner Boaz Gershon. “It will allow them to contribute to the peaceful healing of the Middle East as well as their own inner healing."
The itinerary includes visits to historic sites associated with King David, Jesus, Mary Magdalena and the Prophet Muhammad, with stops in Jerusalem, the Sea of Galilee, Nazareth, Masada and Qumran. In the unspoiled Judean Desert, they will eat under the stars and sleep in authentic Bedouin tents. They will explore caves, soak in ancient mineral pools and swim in the Dead Sea.
Sacred Peace Tours is dedicated to growing peace in the region by practicing it on a daily basis. The organization is comprised of both Israeli and Palestinian colleagues.
